On February 17, 2009 President Obama signed the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009.  Under the new stimulus bill tax credits were increased from 10% to 30% and the maximum credit was increased from $500 to $1,500.  Purchase a qualifying high efficiency natural gas furnace and you could save up to $1,500.
